Tasks and Responsibilities
Your role will typically include the following:
You will help social media become a key part of our client campaigning by formulating objectives, conducting audits, gathering audience insights and investigating market conditions through social listening and competitor benchmarking. You may also be required to commission insight from across our media planning and research teams to inform your strategy.
• Content Development
You will be involved in planning, creating and at times commissioning original content, in order to produce relevant and timely content calendars and content series. You will be expected to work closely with planning and creative teams to ensure all campaign ideas and assets meet the required objectives and that we are making use of the latest platform technology.
· Platform & Paid Campaign management
You will be responsible for scheduling and publishing all content created within the team.
When conducting paid promotion for content you have produced, you will be responsible for the campaign set up, audience profiling, budget management and optimization. You will be supported by the Media team when it comes to campaign optimisation and performance reporting on a case-by-case basis.
• Community management
Depending on the level of service we provide the client, you will be required to monitor our clients’ social media platforms and respond to comments and questions from the community. You will also be responsible for ensuring our clients are provided with the appropriate level of community guidance, escalation documentation and response reporting.
You will work closely with the analysis team within Media, to ensure they set up the necessary tracking to measure content performance and ROI. You will also use native and third-party social media analysis software.
• Thought Leadership
You will maintain a depth of knowledge about the range of emerging social technology available. You will keep an eye on innovation at all times to help keep our social media and content marketing offering ahead of the curve. You will support the team in any thought leadership presentations to prospective clients and the market.
• Education: internal awareness and advice
As part of the wider client delivery team you will provide key insights and direction around best practice to ensure the most current state of social media is realised by colleagues around the business (e.g. the client-facing Account Directors and Account Managers).
You will also share knowledge around thought leadership on social media trends internally.
Reporting & Relationships
The role of Social Media & Content Executive reports to the Content and Audience Director and will works closely with a range of internal teams: Client Services, Research, Creative, Events, Digital Strategy & Delivery, Media Channels, Analysis, Performance Improvement. You will also work with external suppliers where necessary.
The relationships with our clients are also important. You will be their trusted advisor in social media and content strategy will be required to help them understand the latest developments to keep up to speed.
