An excellent opportunity to join a strategic Property Asset and Development Manager with major projects in the East End of London, across the South and Midlands.
AMM is seeking a talented and ambitious individual for a full time role to provide robust, dynamic, and proactive support to Mark and Debbie on the delivery of a wide range of property regeneration projects and economic development business initiatives. It is a role for someone who thrives by learning on the job and is eager to develop their abilities in this field.
The nature of AMM’s role on the Chrisp Street regeneration project will require the person to be on site in the East End for much of their time (Covid rules permitting) working alongside Debbie and Mark. There will be some working from home as well as from AMM’s office in Cookham, Berkshire.

AMM has provided work experience to postgraduates who have studied subjects as varied as Geography or Business as way into the commercial property market. They have since gone on to senior leadership roles - Nick Howell is in New York as a Vice President at CIM Group having worked for Tishman Speyer and Vornado Reality. Alastair Knott heads up the commercial division of Sibbett Gregory on the south coast.
The Role
Is varied, demanding, and rewarding. It covers the whole spectrum of property development and asset management from site acquisition and planning through pre-construction planning, change management during construction to provide continuity of trade, along with lettings work and the management and direction of a wide range of communications, marketing and the estates and facilities management teams.
The role requires:
· Considerable occupier / tenant engagement and influencing, both in person and in writing.
· Updating and development of financial reporting and supporting analysis.
· Project management including
o checking of commercial contracts and ensuring data rooms are kept up to date.
o proactive support and assistance for the Directors to ensure the project business plans are delivered on time and to budget
o your input into ensuring AMM’s and your own records and correspondence and communications with all involved are managed and stored/filed appropriately and efficiently.
Qualifications/Experience/Attitude
A property asset and/or development management orientation and/or a strong interest in places and buildings, mainly, although not exclusively, in city and town centres. You will be fascinated by how places and buildings are developed, owned, occupied, used, and managed. An interest in retailing, service and leisure sector businesses would be valuable.
The role will appeal to someone who wants to make rapid progress in a small entrepreneurial business. Strong integrity and a ‘can do’ approach to achieving results that others doubt can be done; you will have fire in your belly from doing work aligned to what you love and are best at doing.
The ability to show a wide variety of achievements; your personality, values, and beliefs are as important as academic achievements. You may well be educated to 1st degree level or beyond or you may be more inclined to entrepreneurial or self-employment activities aligned with AMM’s raison d’etre.

A base salary up to £26K pa is available
Use of the company pool car - a VW GTE (A full clean driving license required)
After a successful probationary period:
· Performance related bonuses agreed and payable as and when project returns are achieved, and the business can support them.
